Key Stage 3 HAPs

During Key Stage 3, it is important to extablish good study habits and make every effort to enjoy learning - both in school and at home. Excel!

Independent Study

Independent study is more than 'homework': it is about students taking ownership of their learning, outside of the classroom. Throughout Key Stage 3, students will learn and develop skills, basically building the foundations for Key Stage 4 and beyond. It is important that these foundations are strong, to maximise their impact in later years, and independent study can help with this.

  • Use your targets from classwork, as a starting point
  • Create a study schedule
  • Set small, specific, achievable goals
  • Only use reliable websites (BBC Bitesize: https://www.bbc.co.uk/education is always a good place to start)

If you need any guidance with independent study, maybe help to create a study schedule, please make an appointment to see Mrs Zeqaj (Room 24).
